I
CHING is a SACRED BOOK. It gives surprises in each one of
the times at which it is consulted. For example, now, at
the
end of the 20th century, the concept of "perspective"
has been renewed; fortunately, it begins to become a habit
to reflect from manifold perspectives, it is part of the
intellectual
workings to consider the things from the greater possible
number of sides, against the authoritarianisms (often cultivated
and promulgated from the universities) that only pay attention
to a single cautious one. More than a divinatory exercise,
to open the I Ching today is equivalent to listening to another
point of view, and not any other point of view. The readers
who already have made this exercise will understand the ineffable
experience on
this point of view.
